A CASE FOR CHRIST

Everyone, everywhere, forever, people have been trying to discover, uncover, expose, or  understand "God." This idea or concept of the search for a Creator has been the crux of countless wars, endless conversation, and exhaustive research.

For the philosopher, the historian, the debater, and the student; for the wise, or the foolish; for the passionate and for the passive, there is only one question worth answering: Who was Jesus Christ?

Why

The Jesus we read about in the Christian Bible is described as the answer to the aforementioned "countless wars, endless conversation... (etc.)" Solid and compelling arguments can be made—first for the historical (actual) existence of Jesus, and second for the historical death and the resurrection of Jesus—to give an account for the purpose of His ministry.

A Jewish guy, the son of a woman who was allegedly a virgin, born into family of charismatic zealots, decided to base the entirety of his life on earth on a single reality: everything exists because of Him. Not many people have said things like that. Not many people have gone into as much detail or even died to prove it. And, history suggests, not very many people chose to die the way that he did either.

This is to say that maybe some things this man said are worth considering.

If Jesus has actually been raised from the dead, to never die again, and ascended into heaven, then maybe we should take very seriously and credit what he said about himself. In the middle of a national crisis and before multiple thousands of people, over the course of about three years; Jesus healed, fed, cleaned, delivered, befriended, taught, and restored the people who eventually murdered him.

He didn't ask for fame or fortune. He didn’t do sexy commercials. He had only a few close friends. He was homeless, he was kind, and he determined to love people who wanted nothing to do with Him. He came to serve.

Now, someone who claimed to be God lived, knowingly, under the false accusation and hatred of people that He selflessly served. Upon His death, by crucifixion, many reflect upon His words:

What are Jesus words? Where are Jesus words? Do we need the truth about Jesus? Do we need to be set free from something?

A 'Case for Christ'

Who was Jesus Christ? Was he a crazy homeless man? Was he a con-man? Was he just a misunderstood, nice guy?

We pray Get Rooted becomes a tool for you to practically understand and apply the "truth" Jesus talks about in the Bible. We hope that Get Rooted becomes an on-going 'Case for Christ' that leads you to life-altering freedom.
